On the platform of the Core i9-14900K processor,ROG Z790 DARK HERO motherboard,Galaxy HOF EXTREME D5-7200 memory,and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 D graphics card,we tested the cooling capacity of the Great Scythe Qinglong GT360X.First,I restored the motherboard to its default settings and unlocked the temperature limit for the processor (note: it is not recommended for users to unlock the temperature limit in actual use to avoid hardware damage),and then enabled XMP; secondly,I used the FanControl software to maximize the speed of the cooling fan and water pump; finally,I used the AIDA64 System Stability Test to perform a single-burn FPU test on the processor,which lasted more than 30 minutes,and monitored the temperature and power consumption changes with the HWiNFO software.After a 30-minute test,with the processor running at its default settings,the voltage reached 1.36V,the performance core turbo frequency was 5.7GHz,and the processor's power consumption reached 377.32W.Using HWiNFO software,it was observed that the highest package temperature of the performance core stabilized at around 108℃ (ambient temperature was approximately 27℃),which is an impressive data performance.Although the processor's package temperature appears high on the surface,in reality,it is quite rare for a cooler in the same price range to suppress the Core i9-14900K at 5.7GHz and 1.36V high frequency and high voltage without thermal throttling.

Next,we set the temperature limit to automatic in the motherboard BIOS and conducted the test again.Similarly,after more than 30 minutes of single-burn FPU testing with AIDA64 System Stability Test,it was observed that the processor's power output exceeded 320W,with the processor's package temperature at 100℃.The processor experienced thermal throttling,dropping to 5.5GHz,with a voltage of 1.27V.Although the Core i9-14900K experienced a slight frequency drop and a reduction in power output under the suppression of the DEEPCOOL Bismuth Dragon GT360X,its performance still leads many similar products.In our past tests,once a product experiences overheating,the processor's power consumption often drops below 300W.However,using the DEEPCOOL Bismuth Dragon GT360X to suppress the Core i9-14900K still maintains a power output of over 320W,indicating its strong cooling performance.
